This school day was very productive! I wish everyday could be like today...or even better.
I woke up at 6am, washed my face, read a chapter of
Predictably Irrational (I learned bad things happen when you mix social norms with market norms...terrible things; you're social relationships may never be fixed), and was ready to go to school. There was so much traffic though, and my dad decided to drop me off at the small entrance in the 9/10 building adjacent to Hoes lane. That short path wasn't shoveled so we had to walk through 4 inches of snow for a minute...it was wet and freezing.
Let's see, I didn't sleep in Physics, Computer Science, English, Calculus...I didn't sleep at all during school! I imagined my mom was monitoring me at all times during the school day and that technique enabled me the get through the day despite the fact I received 5 hours of sleep that night. :).
Talking about school with myself:
I was able to finish my Chapter 25 work in Physics! I kind of don't understand Computer Science and English, and midterms are around the corner, (in two weeks)! I must read the book, learn some methods and interfaces, and practice programming more for Computer Science. I need to come in for extra help in English;
The Waste Land poem is very confusing...I need to get my facts straight quick too because there's an essay on the poem due Feb 4th. Human Anatomy is interesting and I must memorize the
bones or else, "You'll fail the next test", according the Jen. I can't let that happen! Calculus seems easier now because now I'm doing the homework. My grades during this 2nd marking period have suffered a lot due to my laziness, that will change soon.
After school, I went to the mandatory meeting for FBLA and was informed of mind-boggling news. I'll need to work all the problems out somehow soon because our reports are due on Feb 15th! After FBLA, I ran to the Science League testing place to take the Physics C Jan. test. I scored pretty darn low, (a 40), while Alex Loh scored a 64. My goal for the Feb. test is to score at least a 64!
Science Olympiad is tomorrow and Harsh and I have yet to refine our mousetrap car! I went to Harsh's house to work. We looked at cars on Youtube and the
most impressive one we've seen stopped on its own and only used one mousetrap! We're trying to make our car move 3 meters forward and then 7 meters in the reverse direction. We came across many obstacles and ... I had to leave at 10pm before we finished. :(. Harsh, it's up to you!
Harsh also treated me to some grub! I ate 3
Dosas topped with spicy Chinese spice-sauce thing, plus some Sprite; it was delicious. I'm going to try and make some at home soon! :0
When I got home, I started working on my Berkeley 'verification documents'...I need to verify that I attended
MHCS, (Chinese School) to receive my admission decision from UC Berkeley. I added more 'proof' than what was required, (just a report card); I also included copies of my old school pictures, a picture of my art trophy, and a printout of the school site. Haha.
My day ended there. PeaceoutMan. or Woman. ;)
Oh, there's another thing. I heard this
song and it made me think a bit. The end.
